OUR TEAM
President/Chief Executive Officer Norreida Reyes, former Legislative Analyst to
Speaker Sheldon Silver in the New York State Assembly, has over eight years of
combined public policy, grassroots organizing, and political campaign experience. As
the Speaker’s Education Analyst, Norreida was responsible for legislation involving
one-third of the entire New York State budget. Norreida has also served as a public
policy analyst for former State Comptroller H. Carl McCall, and has worked on local,
state, and national issues including: biotechnology policy; smart growth; local
government funding; welfare reform; Medicaid and more. Norreida has been an
advocate of holistic practices for many years. She is an Advanced Reiki Practitioner
and founded the holistic marketing/advocacy company, United Holistic Practitioners
Association, LLC d/b/a Integrated HealthSource, in June 2006 to better meet the
needs of integrated health/holistic practitioners and healthcare consumers.
Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Diane DuBois, with over 15 years
of business administration and personnel experience, including developing internal
project accountability systems, Diane is known for calm effectiveness and an ability to
be resourceful in creating structure out of chaos. She has experience working in
private and non-profit arenas including legal, financial, insurance, and management
consulting, and has a proven track record of perseverance, diligence, and capacity for
relentless effort.
Vice President/Chief Health Director Dr. Leslie Botta, DC, with over 15 years of
experience as a chiropractor and a sharp national integrated health policy expert, she
was the first and only Doctor of Chiropractic to serve as a Commissioner of the New
York State Workers Compensation Board, and was later appointed by Governor
Pataki to the Department of Health as Deputy Director of the Office of Complementary
and Alternative Medicine.
Chief of Technology Jeff Marden will lead us in the areas of technology and web
marketing. As owner of Marden Consulting he brings nine years of experience and
relationships in those fields to work for UHPA. Jeff's specialties fall into two distinct
but related categories. His experience in designing, creating and managing medium to
large web systems is extensive. He has worked with several Fortune 500 companies
and dozens of medium-sized companies and organizations to create their web
presences and electronic communications systems.
Corporate Attorney Thomas A. Polich, Esq., with over 20 years experience in
corporate and commercial law and a unique combination of high technology,
international, and transactional legal and business experience, Tom has a history of
successful corporate development, strategic structuring and restructuring.
Interim Finance Advisor Robert Parsons, CPA, Waddell and Reed, with more than
20 years of established experience in Wealth Management & Financial Planning;
Investment Strategy & Asset Allocation Development; Business Planning; Strategic
Organization Performance Management; and Business Development.
Communications Director Ruth Feins Wallens, formerly with Eric Mower and
Associates, with over 10 years of national healthcare communications and marketing
experience, Ruth is an accomplished writer, editor, media relations and health
communications specialist.
